The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) took the initiative to launch a new tourist visa named ‘GCC Grand Tours Visa’ that will help travellers visit six different Gulf countries with one single visa.
The GCC Grand Tours Visa is similar to the Schengen Visa but with the twist of letting travellers extend their stays up to 30 days.
The countries that travellers can explore through the GCC Grand Tours Visa are Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. This combined visa is an invitation and gift to international tourists and local travellers to indulge in the blossoming Gulf countries while keeping visa arrival anxiety at bay.
Although the GCC Visa is still under development, officials agreed that this multinational visa will significantly boost tourism in Gulf countries.
The Minister of the Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, introduced this visa while highlighting the benefits and received approval in November 2023.
The visa will be in effect later this year or early 2025. Here are the details of what to expect in the six Gulf countries if you plan to seize the opportunity.
