While the economy of influencers surges to half a trillion by 2027, Former Priceline Executives Andrew Loewen and Randy Schartner drop their latest global travel booking platform, Plannin.
Instead of relying on travel agents to escape the quotidian, one can prefer checking in to their favorite travel influencer-recommended hotels without switching tabs.

The global travel booking platform helps creators share insights about their latest trips, hotel recommendations, and buzzworthy pictures while earning a lifetime commission of 5% as they catch flights for their next destination.
The criteria to earn the commission is as simple as sharing an affiliated link across various social platforms and encouraging followers to sign up on Plannin. On signing up, followers will get access to a plethora of travel recommendations and can also book their hotels from the platform Plannin.
In an interview with Techcrunch, Andrew Loewen said, “One recommendation from the right person is worth more than 1000 anonymous reviews. It’s about helping people experience travel through creators they trust.”

He also mentioned the idea of a lifetime commission model for creators because many of their bookings happen between 15- 60 days after account creation. They came up with this offer to not let the creators miss on potential earnings. If the followers click on their link to book through the platform, the creator will earn a commission for as long as the account exists.
Given the statistics of the budding economy of influencers, launching a platform that purely benefits the creators without misleading the followers is a tactical move. Although some people scrunch up their noses and share their opinions that creators might lie to drive financial gain, Randy Schartner replied: “You would assume they would give an honest review because it is to their audience, but most people wouldn’t lie or mislead their followers in their socials as they have a deeper connection with their audience.”
In its beta stage, Plannin attracted 600 influencers, featuring 5000 posts and 1500 recommendations on the platform. Even though the benchmark of getting approved as a creator on Plannin is 10,000 followers, the company is still considering micro-influencers specialized in travel-focused content.
Partnered with Get Your Guide and Open Table, the company plans to launch Trip boards later this month in which creators can share a complete itinerary about their favorite places. Plannin hopes to become a one-stop booking platform for every traveler out there.
