Royal Caribbean has temporarily suspended its cruise stops at Labadee, Haiti, citing safety concerns. A spokesperson for the cruise line stated, “Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily paused our upcoming visits to Labadee.”

Labadee, a private resort leased by Royal Caribbean, has been a regular port of call for the cruise line. However, recent unrest in Haiti has raised safety concerns, prompting the company to reassess its itineraries. As of March 11, Royal Caribbean had not canceled any sailings to Labadee but was closely monitoring the situation.

The decision to pause visits reflects the company’s commitment to passenger and crew safety amid the evolving conditions in Haiti.
