From Bordi Dahanu beach, you can head straight to Umergaon, which is approximately 10 kilometers away, to visit Kalpataru Botanical Gardens that featured in some episodes of the famous television serial ‘Ramayana’. Other prominent tourist attractions in the vicinity of the beach are Narpad beach and Saibaba Temple located nearby, Mahadev Temple, Gajanan Maharak Mandir, Lotus Lake, Dahanu Fort, Mahalaxmi Mandir, Zoroastrian Heritage Museum and Zoroastrian Atash Behram, among others. You can also visit Asavali Dam made of sand, where you can see paddy fields and tranquil water on different sides of the dam together with the scenic hills.

Winter (between November and February) is the ideal time to visit Bordi Dahanu beach.
How to get there
One of the nearby railway stations is Gholvad. From Mumbai, you need to take passenger train to reach Gholvad and then private or shared auto to reach the beach. The three other rail stations are at Dahanu Road, Vangaon and Bordi, which are well connected to Mumbai, Vadodara and Surat. You can also board MSRTC buses that ply frequently between Mumbai, Dahanu and Thane.
Accommodation
MTDC Bordi Resort and Tapovan Retreat are two well-known resorts for staying near Bordi Dahanu beach. Some of the other prominent hotels are Orchard the Resort, Nisarg Chhaya and Goolkhush Resort, among others.
