In an interview, MakeMyTrip co-founder and group CEO, Rajesh Mago said, “Summer is always one of the biggest quarters of the year in terms of travel intentions, and this year too, the boom in the sector continues. According to MakeMyTrip’s summer travel trends, the family travel segment has grown by 20 percent this year compared to summer 2023, while solo travel has grown by 10 percent over last year’s numbers.
From which it is clear that Goa plays an important role in the development of Goa’s economy. Demand for air tickets is increasing, demand for travel agencies is increasing, demand for hotels is increasing. As a result, the state’s tourism industry contributes 12.5% to Goa’s economy. The coastal state hotel occupancy rate in 2024 was about 70 percent.
