Kathmandu
It is the largest city and capital of Nepal with the most number of ancient temples, Buddhist pagodas, enchanting sceneries, and alluring villages.
The most revered religious places of Hindus and Buddhists are Swayambhunath temple, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudha stupa.
Thamel is a commercial street to buy souvenirs, handicrafts, and trekking gear. It has many bars, cafes, and entertainment centers.
On the outskirts of Kathmandu are exhilarating locales such as Nagarkot, Champadevi Hill, and Rani Pokhari lake famous for hiking, rafting, bungee jumping, and other adventure sports.

Bhaktapur
This city, with both Hindu and Buddhist populations, is in existence since medieval times. The city has a nominal entrance fee, the proceeds of which go to the maintenance of local religious structures.

Lalitpur or Patan
Located across the Bagmati river, Patan is the third largest city in Nepal.

This place is also famous for its handicrafts and jewelry. Purchase wooden toys, pottery paintings at Kopundol Road, metal, wood products from Durbar square, and carpets, rugs from Jawalakhel handicraft center.
Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is situated in a 952-square-acre area and is a World Heritage site. It was a hunting ground for erstwhile rulers of Nepal. Now it boasts of 700 fauna species that include Royal Bengal tiger, gaurs, one-horned rhino, leopards, deers, crocodiles, and jackals.
At this park, you can go on a Jeep safari, elephant safari, canoe ride, bird watching, or engage with the local Tharu community and see their traditions and culture up close.
Janakpur
This city is believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita and the place of her wedding to Lord Ram. The Ram Janaki Temple is a part of the holy Parikrama (route) pilgrimage that also includes Ayodhya, Kashi, and Brij undertaken by devout Hindus.
Other top spots to visit here are Tolwaling Valley, Jaleshwar, Dolakha Bhimsen Mandir, and cultural centers for colorful art and traditional music/dance.
Pokhara
Pokhara is the tourist capital of Nepal. This place is famous for Phewa Lake, Pokharna lake, and lots of historical temples.
At an altitude of 900m, it is a base for many famous treks. It offers boating opportunities on Seti Gandki and its various tributaries. It is also a starting point for various treks including the Annapurna Range. Adventure lovers can indulge in some paragliding and river rafting opportunities.

Lumbini
Located in Rupandehi district, Lumbhini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and hence an important pilgrimage center for Buddhists. It is also a UNESCO Heritage site. Devotees come to read scriptures, meditate, trek, practice yoga, and also learn more about Hinduism.
Mayadevi temple, Lumbini Garden, and the Pushkarnini are some notable landmarks.
The Lumbini development zone has many monasteries developed by countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, and China. One significant spot to visit for nature lovers is the Lumbini Crane Sanctuary.
Bandipur
It is the architecture and Newari culture that are highlights of this hidden Nepal city. The traditional houses look like they are out of a museum rather than the 18th-century temples with intricate facades have stood the test of time.
Walk along the meandering Marsyangdi and enjoy the landscapes. Follow the scenic trails through terraced fields, sparkling waterfalls.
Sagarmatha National Park
It is a wild reserve and UNESCO Heritage site located around Mount Everest known for its spectacular scenery.

Gorkha
Gorkha is the land of the brave Gorkha people. It is a unified land of 50 different states and has immense cultural significance. Some spots to visit here are Gorkha Museum, Manakamana temple, Gorkha Durbar, and Manaslu circuit trek.

By Air There are many flights connecting Nepal to major cities of India.
By Train, The Chauri Chaura Express, Kashi Express, Sapt Kranti Superfast are some trains that connect India and Nepal via Uttar Pradesh state.
By Road There are buses as well connecting Delhi or Varanasi to main cities of Nepal.
