Bagmandla village takes pride in its ancient history as it played host to the peshwas of the Maratha Empire. A major attraction of Bagmandla is the Bankot fort, which you can reach by hiring boats. Another major attraction of this village is a jungle jetty, which is a sea harbor located in forest. This jetty ferries local people through the Bagmandla creek.

You can visit the nearby Srivardhan town that comprises of temples and a beautiful beach. Two of the most visited temples are Jiwaneshwar temple and Somjai temple. Peshwe Smarak is another place worth paying a visit in Srivardhan due to its historical prominence. During your Bagmandla beach vacation, you can also visit the famous Ratnagiri fort by crossing over the Bankot fort. Harihareshwar is another beautiful place in the vicinity of Bagmandla, where you can visit two temples namely Kalbhairav temple and Shiv temple. You’ll first need to reach Mangaon, which is approximately 57 kilometers away from Bagmandla. Mangaon is well-connected by bus services from both Mumbai and Pune. Nearest airports are also at Mumbai and Pune, which are roughly 180 kilometers and 140 kilometers away respectively.

And perhaps the less commercialized nature of Bagmandla beach compared to the lively Shrivardhan beach and Harihareshwar beach has made it one of the best available choices when it comes to spending a couple of days in absolute peace away from the city’s hectic life.
